U VISA PSYCHOLOGICAL EVALUATIONS
Some individuals who have been the victims of serious crimes may be eligible for U Visas. When applying for U Visas, psychological evaluations are used to assist in documenting the substantial physical or mental abuse as a result of having been the victim of a serious crime. The U Visa psychological evaluation assesses the client’s mental state and assesses the mental health consequences resulting from exposure to the crime.
U Visa psychological evaluations include clinical interviews and psychological testing. The psychological report includes a description of the client’s impairments, symptoms, and diagnoses which may include Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and major depression.
